Hello you,

I’m eating dried mango in an effort to convince myself to enjoy editing my website. With that said, I made a website that you can access here at isabelleespaldon.ca. Let’s send a prayer to a higher power that this website actually works. I’m not above praying. According to google, the saint of websites is St. Acutis. So, St. Acutis, pray for my little website that could. (1 like = 1 prayer)

What inspired me this week:

Toronto Islands

I love the islands. I am an avid enjoyer, but mostly I am a creature of habit. I convince whoever to do the tandem 4-seater bikes with me. It is the funniest thing. I encountered Filipino families singing along on their tandem bikes. That is Filipino-Canadian culture, I think.

My sister hasn’t seen the original movie even though she’s an avid fan of the musical. I had to correct this issue immediately.

Incredible….

I didn’t know this was a musical beforehand. All I knew was the first sentence of the Letterboxd blurb. I am so moved by how Catherine managed to play Genevieve. The awkward closure at the very end was something to behold.

The piano scene had me locked in. Maybe it’s just me, but somehow much sadder than I expected. Gorgeous is a girl who only wanted to be closer to her mother. But I remember she is literally named Gorgeous. So, I should take her as seriously as her name.
